So, what exactly is Juanqui Projects?
After organising several projects dedicated to the Spanish Tennis player Juan Carlos Ferrero I thought it would be much easier to set up a site where all possible participant couls look up what exactly they have to do to participate. It was tiring to to email everyone again and again about rules, requirements, deadlines etc. And I didn't to create one page for each project again so I came up with this idea. I've named it Juanqui Projects because one of Juan Carlos Ferrero's nicknames is Juanqui (given to him by friends at Equelite Tennis Academy). The word combination sounded cute and matched the idea.
Obviously, Juan Carlos Ferrero is my favorite Tennis player and one of the nicest guys I've ever met. He plays wonderful Tennis and is always very kind and patient with his fans. I thought it would be nice to show our love and support to him so I started organising projects (scrapbooks, etc.) together with other fans. I've learned that there are many people who really adore and support him and are willing to participate in such projects. Most of them are do not want to set up and organise all this, though - and I like doing that. It can be frustrating and tiring sometimes to get everything ready in time but in the end, when I hand over the finished product ot JCF... it makes up for all the hard work.
This site is currently hosted on juanqui.net owned by my wonderful and generous friend Kat. Juanqui Projects is also co-operating with several other JCF fansites which makes it easier to set up and organise everything. The layout made by me, Dominique. All content belongs to me - so please do not steal! For more copyright information read the disclaimer. So far there haven't been made too many changes as it's only version 3.0 and I haven't changed the content much. Of course, there will always be new projects added to the site...
